•USAGE:(1.) Easy относится к прилагательным, которые часто требуют уточняющих определителей цели, места и т. д. Такое определение стоит после существительного: an easy book to screen книга, которую легко экранизировать. К таким прилагательным кроме easy относятся the best, different, enough, difficult, first, impossible, last, next, the same, second, similar, а также формы сравнительной и превосходной степеней: the best mother in the world самая лучшая в мире мать; not an easy question to answer at once вопрос, на который сразу нелегко ответить; a different life from this one отличная от этой жизнь; the next house to the Post Office следующий дом после почты; the second train on the platform второй поезд на платформе; a difficult problem to solve трудная для решения проблема. (2.) Easy входит в группу прилагательных, которые обычно употребляются с последующим инфинитивом: it is not easy to answer на это нелегко ответить. К таким прилагательным относятся able, afraid, anxious, ashamed, difficult, foolish, frightened, glad, pleased, happy, proud, surprised, right, wrong. (3.) Русскому многозначному прилагательному легкий в значении "нетрудный, несложный" соответствует прилагательное easy, а в значении "нетяжелый, небольшого веса" - прилагательное lightII ['ɪzɪ] advлегко, без труда, спокойноEasier said than done. — Легче сказать, чем сделать.
